The Huntington African American Museum is dedicated to providing a forum to explore and celebrate African American history and culture. Currently operating as a museum without walls, the Museum presents exhibitions, programs, and cultural initiatives that educate visitors, honor heritage, and inspire new perspectives. As the Museum continues working toward restoring the historic Peter Crippen House and establishing a permanent home, early member support is critical to preserving untold stories and building a nationally recognized institution.

Fueling the Future
The Smithsonian is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to the Smithsonian’s African American in Huntington NY are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
